Bearing type selection of several factors Aug 2, 2016
1, bearing radial load

The main bearing bearing radial load is the radial bearing. Nominal contact Angle of this type of bearing =45 0="" br=""> Type N and NU cylindrical roller bearings can only bear radial loads, other types of radial bearings can bear both radial loads and axial loads.

2. Axial load of bearings

The main bearing axial load is generally thrust bearing, its nominal contact corner. 450. Thrust bearings and thrust angular contact ball bearings can withstand axial forces in one or two directions at the same time according to their different structures. When the bearing force is particularly high, the thrust cylindrical roller bearing and thrust aligning roller bearing are preferred.

Thrust aligning roller bearings and one-way thrust angular contact ball bearings can bear axial load and radial load at the same time, other thrust bearings can only bear axial load.

3, the bearing itself length compensation

A shaft and bearing are usually supported by a combination of fixed bearings and walking bearings. The traveling bearing compensates the length error and thermal expansion of the shaft.

NU type and N type cylindrical roller bearings are ideal travelling bearings, which can compensate for the length themselves. The inner and outer rings of bearings can be fitted tightly.

Length compensation for sliding fit

Non-separable bearings (such as deep groove ball bearings and self-aligning roller bearings) can also be used as walking bearings. One of the two rings of this kind of bearing is fitted and has no axial fixed surface. Therefore, one of the rings of the bearing can move on its supporting surface.

4, separable bearing (accuracy)

This is a bearing whose rings can be mounted separately, and its advantages are outstanding when both rings are fitted tightly.

Separable bearings include four-point contact ball bearings, double row angular contact ball bearings with double half inner rings, cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, thrust ball bearings, thrust cylindrical roller bearings and thrust aligning roller bearings.

Here is also an introduction to the types of non-separable bearings:), non-separable bearings are: deep groove ball bearings, single row angular contact ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, peng-shaped roller bearings and self-aligning roller bearings.

accuracy

In most cases, rolling bearings of general size and rotation accuracy are sufficient. When the requirements are higher, the bearings need a higher precision class, (e.g., machine spindle bearings).

5. Compensation for not being neutral

Not neutral appears in the processing of the journal with the surface or bearing seat with the surface, especially the processing of the surface is not completed in a card. Misalignment can also occur when using the bearing seat, (for example: flange bearing seat or vertical bearing seat). Due to the working load, the shaft is bent and deformed, which leads to the inclination of the inner and outer rings of the bearing, and the misalignment will also occur.

Aligning bearings can compensate for the misalignment inclination, such as: aligning ball bearings, peng roller bearings, centripetal and thrust aligning roller bearings. This type of bearing has a concave spherical outer ring raceway in which the rolling body and inner ring can rotate. The ability of these bearings to compensate shaft center deflection depends on their type, size and load conditions.

Both outer spherical bearings and thrust ball bearings with seat rings have a spherical support surface: the offset deflection Angle can be adjusted when installed in the concave spherical seat ring.

Rotational speed

Single row bearing friction is particularly low, so it can reach ** speed. Such bearings have deep groove ball bearings that can only bear radial loads and angular contact ball bearings that can bear combined loads.

The allowable speed of bearings can be improved by improving the dimensional accuracy, rotating accuracy and fitting accuracy of bearings, the lubrication and cooling methods and the use of special cages.

Low noise operation

In small motor, office equipment and household appliances generally require running noise.

6. Conical hole

Bearings with conical holes can be mounted directly onto the conical journal (e.g., single and double row cylindrical roller bearings in high precision structures). A given radial clearance can be adjusted when such bearings are installed.

Most self-aligning ball bearings, drum roller bearings and self-aligning roller bearings with conical holes can be mounted to the cylindrical journal through a tight-fitting sleeve. These bearings are particularly easy to install and remove.

7. Stiffness

The stiffness of a bearing is usually the force required to produce a certain elastic deformation of the bearing. Bearings on machine spindles and pinion shafts are required to have high stiffness. Because of the different contact conditions between the rolling body and the raceway, the stiffness of the roller bearing is higher than that of the ball bearing.

8. Friction

In addition to being heated and dissipated, internal friction also plays a great role in determining the working temperature of bearings. Low friction bearings include deep groove ball bearings bearing radial loads, single row angular contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings with cages. Contact sealed bearings, full cylindrical roller bearings and thrust roller bearings will produce greater friction.
